Purpose
The website, available at https://www.esc-clermont-alumni.fr, is a private professional social network made available by Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni, the Association of Graduates of Groupe ESC Clermont, to allow its members (graduates, students and teachers / staff of Groupe ESC Clermont) to help each other, to keep in touch, to facilitate networking, to share opportunities, to exchange advice, to enhance the value of training and to promote professional integration, employment and career.
The site and its services are provided by the "AlumnForce" application published by MEVIA, a simplified joint stock company with a capital of €11,300, registered in the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under the number B 501 609 143, whose registered office is located at 93-97 rue Eugène Caron, 92400 Courbevoie, France.
The purpose of these general terms of use is to govern access to and use of the Site. We invite you to read them carefully.
By activating your Account, requesting an Account, making a reservation for an event or making a purchase on the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and accept all of these terms and conditions of use.
Scope of the General Terms of Use
The present General Terms of Use ("GTU") are applicable to all use and access to the Services of the site. They are validated electronically by the User at the time of the activation of his Account and at each modification of the GTU. The GCU are accessible at any time on the Site. The professional social network is not freely accessible. Access is reserved to Users of the network who have accepted the GTC and have an Account with a login and password.
Users acknowledge having read and understood the Terms of Use and agree to be bound by them.
Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni reserves the right to modify the GTU at any time by notifying by email any new version to the Users, who agree to take cognizance of these changes.
Description of the services provided by Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni
Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni offers its members the following services:
- A participative network information and sharing service (news, events, nominations, notebooks, discussions, newsletters, wall activities, comments, internal messaging, notifications, sharing to social networks...)
o A directory of user members with access to user profiles
o A service to put Users in contact with each other via an internal messaging system
o A job offer service and a candidate library
o A service of participative groups (geographical or thematic)
o A subscription service
o An online ticketing service, for registration (and payment) for network events
o A mentoring service
o An exchange and announcement service (forum).
All these services aim to bring Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni members closer together in order to promote networking, mutual support, professional integration and career development.
Access to the services
The User of the site acknowledges having the necessary skills and means to access this site and having verified that the computer configuration used does not contain any virus and that it is in perfect working order.
In order to benefit from access to the network, the User must be a graduate or student or teacher or graduate of the Groupe ESC Clermont and have an active e-mail address to activate his account and participate in the network. His account must have been created beforehand by an Administrator.
Anonymous visitors can access the site, consult articles and public events, but cannot visit profiles, post comments or participate in discussions. They may have access to register for events open to the public. In this case, they will have to agree to the GTU to book their participation in such events and provide at least their first name, last name and an active email.
Users who are recruiters or representatives of a partner company may join the network with restricted access in order to post job offers. These accounts must be validated or created beforehand by an Administrator.
The User undertakes not to use a pseudonym or e-mail address that could infringe the rights of third parties (surname, brand name, etc.), nor to usurp a name, company name or registered trademark.
At his first connection, the User will have to accept and validate the GTU, specify his password and update his Account preferences with regard to notifications and the confidentiality levels of his profile information. The User's Account may be deactivated by an Administrator if it remains inactive for more than two years.
Administrators
Administrators declare that they are authorized to use the Services and have accepted the Terms and Conditions on behalf of the ESC Clermont Alumni Group. The Administrator sets up the configuration of User Accounts via imports or individual additions. He sets up and validates access requests from Users such as representatives of partner companies. The Administrator can send the accesses to each User. The Administrator is able to block access to a User if necessary.
User Accounts
The User will be able to access the Services once the GTU have been validated and only if the User's Account has been previously created by an Administrator with at least a Last Name, a First Name and an active E-mail. The User will need to provide at least one active e-mail and specify the password to identify himself at the first connection. The User may modify and update his e-mail and password at any time from the management of his Account. The User will then access the User menu to access the different Modules of the platform in accordance with the accesses authorised according to the type of User.
Password
The password associated with each Account is strictly personal and confidential and must not be shared with third parties. Users are responsible for the loss or theft of their password. We recommend that Users regularly change their passwords and choose complex passwords of at least 8 characters comprising letters, numbers and specific characters. Each User is free to change his or her password at any time from the management of his or her Account.
Use of the services
The texts, software, images, videos, data and any other work on this site are protected by the code of intellectual property. The User of the website agrees not to reproduce them without the express consent of Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni. The User agrees not to copy or sell all or part of the Modules and the Site.
The User guarantees Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni that he/she has the necessary rights, including all intellectual property rights on the articles, testimonies, comments, images and data of any kind that he/she discloses on this Site, allowing him/her to grant the rights transmitted herein.
The User expressly agrees, free of charge, that his testimonials and comments may be reproduced and/or represented in the communication media intended for the promotion of Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni for the entire legal duration of protection of these comments and testimonials.
The messages and images posted are under the responsibility of their author who agrees to assume all responsibilities and consequences related to them. In particular, the author of the message guarantees Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni against all actions initiated by third parties and having as cause, basis or origin the content of his message. He therefore undertakes to pay the amount of the condemnations and related defense costs, or any transactional indemnity that would be due in the context of the dispute. The representatives of the site decline all responsibility for the content of messages posted by users.
The User is responsible for the Account assigned to him/her from the date of activation of the latter. It is the User's duty to keep the Account secret and not to disclose it to any other person. The User is solely responsible for the use that is made of his Account, as well as the Content published via his Account.
For the respect and good of all, the following are forbidden: messages of an abusive, offensive, obscene or defamatory nature, content that contravenes the rights of others, violent statements or statements that incite racism, pornography, paedophilia or crimes and misdemeanours, misuse of the site for propaganda, commercial or political purposes.
Users may report any disturbing message to the Administrator. The Administrator may delete without notice any message that does not comply with the conditions mentioned above.
Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni reserves the right, without justification, to refuse access to the Site to any Visitor or User who has not respected these terms of use or the applicable law. In the event that, according to the Visitor or User concerned, this is an error, the latter may contact Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni.
Participation in Groups
The Site allows Users, if the Groups Module is active, to create restricted circles within the network. They can organize themselves in groups, for example around a city or a region or a professional theme. The members of each group can then have access to articles, events, forums, media and a directory specific to their group. Each group and its members must comply with the provisions of these GTU.
Submission of job offers
All Users of the Site who are able to submit a job offer undertake not to use prohibited or discriminatory criteria, including the following: origin, sex, morals, sexual orientation or identity, age, family status or pregnancy, genetic characteristics, membership or non-membership, whether real or assumed, of an ethnic group, nation or race, political opinions, trade union or mutualist activities, religious beliefs, physical appearance, etc. (Art. L 1132-1, L 1142-1, L 5531-2 of the French Labour Code).
Protection of personal data and privacy policies
The party responsible for processing the personal data referred to herein is Clermont School of Business Alumni, an association under the law of 1901 with its registered office at CLERMONT-FERRAND (63000) 4 Boulevard Trudaine.
Personal data is used in compliance with the provisions of Law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 and the Directive of April 27, 2016 (RGPD). Clermont School of Business Alumni undertakes not to transmit to any third party all data communicated by Users which have been collected exclusively for the purposes of the mission defined between the parties.
The information collected is strictly confidential and will only be used for the purposes for which Clermont School of Business Alumni has been duly appointed. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, as amended, all members have the right to access and, if necessary, modify, rectify, delete or oppose their personal data.
In accordance with the provisions of the French law n°78-17 of January 6, 1978, the User is informed that he/she has the right to access, rectify and oppose any data concerning him/her by writing to the following address: alumni@clermont-sb.fr (or to any other e-mail address communicated by Clermont School of Business Alumni).
Are members of the Graduates' Association, and therefore included in the database on the Site and in the directory:
- All students enrolled at Clermont School of Business who are following a diploma course;
- All graduates of the School since its inception (1st class 1920), living or dead.
The processing of data is based for Clermont School of Business Alumni on the legitimate interest to hold and manage such a database of members and even more on a contractual link, due to the registration to the missions of the association CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ALUMNI, namely:
- Integration into the CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ALUMNI community,
- Services for members,
- Networking France / International,
- Support for CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS: promotion, testimonials...
These are available through the following services:
- Animation/networking/connecting members/contacting members.
- Creation and management of a CV database for members and recruiters.
- Creation and management of a directory accessible to paid-up members.
- Communication for events, conferences, parties, CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS.
- Use of data for career management, reflection on a professional project,
- Use of data for surveys, polls and statistics, accreditations, rankings, etc.
- Distribution of information and newsletters CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS and CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ALUMNI.
- Solicitations for support and collaboration in promoting CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS.
- Solicitation for the payment of the taxe d'apprentissage or for a donation to the Fondation Clermont School of Business in order to financially support CLERMONT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS.
Management of data in the Clermont School of Business Alumni database:
Data concerning Users comes from Clermont School of Business Alumni. They are integrated and processed on the www.clermont-sb-alumni.fr website. This data is necessary to obtain an account and access to services. It includes at least the First Name, Last Name, E-mail, and academic curriculum (degree and year of graduation).
The other data is updated optionally by Users themselves from their profile in order to present their expertise and projects to other Users with the aim of interacting and creating opportunities for exchanges, matchmaking, and generating statistics on professional mobility:
- Profile picture,
- Presentation,
- Personal details (telephone, mobile, personal e-mail(s), primary and secondary addresses), date of birth, married name, family status,
- Current job and professional details (position, typical function, company, typical sector),
- Previous job(s),
- Current situation and career wishes,
- Skills acquired and languages spoken,
- Further training,
- Community activities and interests,
- Curriculum vitae (via uploaded file or generated from previous information),
- Links to professional social networks and/or website.
The identity of Users is only publicly visible if the User has activated their public profile or Public CV. Users are free to activate or deactivate their public profile at any time.
The identity of Users (First Name, Last Name, Degree, Promotion, Photo, City, Country, Position, Company) is visible to other Users whose membership is up to date from the Directory (list and map view and according to the proposed filters) and from any interaction on the professional social network through an activity or participation on the part of the User in an article, event, comment, group or discussion.
Information collected from network Users via their profile and form can only be consulted by other network Users: graduates, students, staff, authorized recruiters, administrators. Users can restrict access to their profile information by selecting one of the following options: the entire network, my friends, my graduating class, graduates, students, staff, network recruiters, graduates, students.
Users who are recruiters or representatives of a partner company provide the following data to create an Account:
- First name, Last name, E-mail address, Company position
- Company name and address
External visitors wishing to participate in an event must provide the Association with the following minimum data:
- First name, Last name,
When paying for a service on the Site (event ticket, membership or subscription), we will ask you to provide delivery and billing address information in order to create an order and associated receipt. We do not store any credit card or bank details; this information is processed by the online payment processing provider offered on the Site.
When the User connects to the Site, information is automatically collected, including personal information, on the services used and the way in which they are used. This information is necessary for the proper execution of the purposes defined above, in accordance with legal obligations and in view of the legitimate interest of being able to provide and improve the functionalities of the Site:
- geolocation information: members with access to the directory are able to carry out geolocation searches based on their personal or company address, according to the information provided on their profile.
- Usage information: we collect information about your interactions on the Site, such as page or content views, searches, purchases and other site actions, in order to improve the Site Services.
- connection and device data: we automatically collect connection and device data when you access the Site. This information includes, among other things: information on how you used the Site, IP address, access dates and times, computer hardware and software data, device data, data associated with device use, unique identifiers, crash data, cookies. This information enables us in particular to improve the performance of the Site and the quality of the Services, as well as to detect/prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activities.
Users agree to always provide truthful Personal Data and to update it as necessary to keep it complete and accurate.
The information of a User contained in the database of the professional network remains the property of that User. In accordance with the current European regulations, Users of the Site have the following rights:
- right of access (Article 15 GDPR) and rectification (Article 16 GDPR), updating, completeness of the Users' data
- the right to delete personal data of Users (article 17 GDPR),
- the right to withdraw consent at any time (Article 13-2c GDPR)
- right to limit the processing of Users' data (article 18 GDPR)
- right to object to the processing of Users' data (article 21 GDPR)
- right to portability of the data that Users have provided (article 20 GDPR)
In the event of a request for deletion or erasure, Clermont School of Business Alumni Group will anonymize the profile concerned, referring to the name and first name, while the Data Controller retains the non-nominative information, especially for statistical purposes.
Any user of the network may freely modify or delete information that he or she has entered on the network. They may also request that information concerning them provided by Clermont School of Business Alumni be rectified, completed, clarified, updated or deleted. The User expressly authorizes Clermont School of Business Alumni to update his/her profile on the basis of publicly accessible data concerning him/her.
You may exercise this right:
- by changing your information from the management of your Account, in the section “My Profile”.
- by sending an e-mail to alumni@clermont-sb.fr or
- by sending a letter to the following address: Clermont School of Business Alumni – 4 Boulevard Trudaine – 63000 Clermont-Ferrand.
Clermont School of Business Alumni is the only party authorized to hold the data and undertakes not to resell it or pass it on to third parties, and to ensure that this information is not processed for any purpose other than its publication on the Site. Clermont School of Business Alumni may process your personal data in connection with your access to and/or use of the Site. This includes data collected by Clermont School of Business Alumni when a User activates his/her Account or updates information on the User's profile.
However, this data may be passed on to Clermont School of Business or to the Clermont School of Business Foundation. It may also be made accessible to any recruiter, service provider, host and/or service provider for database optimization purposes, in Europe and outside the European Union, subject to the appropriate regulatory conditions.
Clermont School of Business Alumni reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy in order to comply with changes in applicable laws and regulations. Any changes will be notified via our Site or by email, where possible, at least thirty days before they take effect.
Data retention period
Clermont School of Business Alumni retains data only as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with legal requirements.
Security
The personal data collected is stored at the hosting company identified in the Legal Notice.
Users of the Site acknowledge that they have been informed of the risks associated with the use of the Internet and networks, and in particular of the fact that information relating to their personal data may be copied or intercepted. Users of the Site acknowledge that they accept these risks, for which Clermont School of Business Alumni cannot under any circumstances be held responsible. Clermont School of Business Alumni uses all technical and human resources to ensure a permanent level of security in accordance with the rules of the art in force in this field and to prevent attacks by malicious persons. Guarantee
Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni undertakes to take particular care regarding the accuracy of the information exchanged on the Site and to keep it regularly updated. However, errors or omissions may be found. In this case, we would be grateful if you could inform us so that we can make the necessary corrections. During its verifications and occasional interventions, the Site Administrator undertakes not to modify the Content in a way that could change its meaning. However, he reserves the right to move Content if he notices a flagrant error in the thematic classification.
Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website, particularly in the event of maintenance, repairs or disruptions to Internet connections. It cannot be held responsible for technical failures and related data losses, nor for any other indirect damage occurring during or related to the use of the website.
Applicable law
The GCU are governed solely by French law. Any dispute arising from the validity, interpretation and/or execution, termination, breach, of these GTUs and after failure of any conciliation, will be submitted to the Commercial Court of Clermont-Ferrand.

Definitions
Terms beginning with a capital letter in the GTU have the following meaning (unless otherwise expressly stated):
- Site means the website of Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni accessible at https://esc-clermont-alumni.fr giving access to the Services of the network;
- Users means members who can access the services via an Account (graduates, students, teachers/staff, recruiters), individuals registering for an event and Administrators. For each type of User, access to the services may be limited according to the choices made by the Administrators.
- Administrators means the natural persons employed or not by Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni and authorised to use the Modules of the AlumnForce application for professional or management purposes: they have access to an Account allowing them to set up the Modules and to configure or carry out actions on the Users' Accounts.
- Account means a valid account giving access to the Services of the site.
- Content means any content that Users can download and access from the site, including, but not limited to, articles, events, directories, and profile sheets with Personal Data according to the privacy settings that each User has configured in their preferences.
- Personal Data means any personal data relating to a natural person who is or could be identified.
- Modules means the applications for the management of a private professional social network developed by AlumnForce and accessible in "software as a service" (SaaS).
- Privacy Policy means the document established by Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni presenting its processing of Users' Personal Data and defining their corresponding rights.
- Services means the supply of the Modules and the complementary services that can be provided by AlumnForce on request of Groupe ESC Clermont Alumni, in particular the configuration, the assistance or the training, etc.
